How are the rates calculated?

Shipping rates are determined by USPS, based both on the total weight of the order and the distance the shipment will travel.

 

What methods of shipment does DAM Good Chocolate offer?

We ship exclusively with USPS Priority to all destination. Unfortunately, we cannot offer the Ground Service option because our factory is temperature sensitive – we want our chocolate to reach you and your gift recipients looking and tasting just as fresh as it does when it leaves our shop.

 

Temperature Conditions

Shipping chocolate is tricky and nobody likes melted chocolate! If the destination city’s temperature is 70 degrees or warmer, please choose the Next Day shipping option. We’ll provide a styrofoam lined container to protect your chocolate. If you have chosen 2nd Day shipping, we are not responsible if the chocolates arrive melted and will not offer any refund. Please note that late spring and all through the summer we only offer Next Day shipping.

 

When will my order ship?

If you are placing your order after 12:00 pm EST, your order will not be shipped until the following business day. Orders are not shipped on Holidays, Fridays and Weekends  to ensure minimal time in transit. Shipments are not picked up or delivered during national holidays when USPS is closed. You will receive email confirmation when your order is shipped.

 

Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or international destinations. We are not responsible for delivery delays experienced by USPS due to weather or mechanical error and are, therefore, unable to offer refunds for those reasons.

 

Hawaii Note: When shipping to Hawaii, one day business service takes two days and two day business service takes three days.

 

Holiday Ordering Dates

DAM Good Chocolate cannot guarantee arrival dates for orders that are not placed within the set parameters listed below.

 

How can I track my order?

Please refer to the tracking number in your shipment confirmation email. If you have registered with us, please login to your account and access your recent order information through your account dashboard. If you checked out as a guest, please call (407) 965-3232 or email info@damgoodchocolate.com for assistance.

 

How do you ship to protect against warm weather?

We ship using the delivery service offering the most optimal transit time required to get your gifts and treats delivered in their best condition. Especially in warm climates, your order may also be shipped in an insulated cooler with dry ice and/or cold gel packs when necessary. Please remember to reuse the gel packs and insulated coolers next time you're heading out with foods or beverages that need to be kept cold!

 

To prevent your baked goods and chocolates from being stored in a carrier’s unconditioned space during transit, when orders containing such items are received after Wednesday at 12 Noon Eastern Time we will possibly hold the order to ship on the following Monday.

 

Please remember that deliveries left on porches or in warm foyers may cause your shipment to melt. For this reason, we suggest you provide a shipping address where someone will be able to store your package in a cool place upon delivery.

 

Does DAM Good Chocolate ship internationally?

Unfortunately, We do not offer international delivery at this time.

 

How does DAM Good Chocolate keep the chocolate from melting?

We are diligent about checking destination temperatures and will pack your order in a styrofoam lined container to keep your chocolates cool if your package will be passing through or be delivered to hot climate. We highly recommend you select the Next Day shipping option if the destination temperature is over 70 degrees.
